Filled out the online application, received a confirmation email, and called and left a voicemail at the recruiter's number per the instructions on the governmentjobs.com webpage, so now the ball is firmly in their court.

Just wondering how long the process takes. I'm guessing a month or two.

You should get a call in a few weeks. You should also check out the recruitment site at sdsheriff.net if you haven't already. Unfortunately, the last I heard, the next academy won't start until next year. Good luck, hope you get in.

5 years ago it took 6 months, and I knew a few that were in the process for 18 months. It's not fast.
