Hello all...

Looking to sell my Smith & Wesson M&P Pro 9mm. I have the hi-capacity mags for it, so I'm only willing to sell it to another sworn LEO. Not interested in even risking the headache of selling an off roster gun to a non-LEO, especially since the only mags I have are the standard/full capacity (non 10-round) mags. The thing is practically brand new. I bought it several years ago and have probably put a half dozen mags through it. Otherwise it sat in the safe. Willing to go for $400.

So sell the mags separate from the gun. PP transfer for off roster are the same as for on roster, there's no difference. To be honest, you would probably make more selling it to non-LEO because lets face it LEO are cheapskates, and the market is higher for off-roster, just don't gouge someone like many do.

I know this gun is not approved for duty with some agencies.

There are many guns that are not approved for duty with some agencies. And I'm well aware I would make more money selling it to a non-LEO. It has nothing to do with LEOs being cheapskates. It is a simple principle of supply and demand. The demand for off-roster guns is high and the supply is low. But my desire not to be next on the Cal DOJ / ATF list of people to investigate is higher. So therefore, I'll sell it for right around what I paid for it to someone who could otherwise buy it on their own and call it a day. But I appreciate the conversation.
