Heller affirmed Californians have a constitutional right to keep and bear arms.

No, I think many of California's firearms laws fall outside the Constitutional limits. Although it seems some courts read the Constitution differently than I do.

I think the roster, coupled with LEOs being able to buy unfettered from off the roster, is an equal protection violation. Always have.

A number of our other laws are questionable at best, and I am expecting them to ultimately be ruled infringements. Until they are found to be infringements then they are, by definition, constitutional.

i think most people here tend to think that the gun laws are unconsitutional but come on youre preaching to the choir, law enforcement or not.

besides, the people who sit on the highest court of the land cant even agree on whats constitutional.

                          The "State Constitution Loophole'

States like Kalifornia & New Jersey have no State RKBA clause in their Constitutions, a "loophole" exploited by gun-hating politicians to sidestep the 2nd Amendment. Bragging that their state anti-gun "laws" should be "examples for the nation" (*cough-Feinstien*-cough*) while knowing full well this is a con job since most other states supremes would reject them out of hand based on their state RKBA clause. Disgusting things like the Clinton ban, based on the Kalifornia model, only get through by exploiting the constitutionally ignorant or the intentionally evil, and there are all too many of these out there...But of course, this raises the specter of the Federalist/Anti-Federalist debate, which, especially when it comes to gun laws, is a whole different can of worms, and a subject I have yet to see anyone on the boards bring up for discussion...
(Pointing pistol)"Does that make you nervous"? (Response)"Guns don't make me nervous, they have their uses...It's idiots, like you, with guns that make me nervous!" (Charles Bronson - Line from the "Death Wish" movie series)
