Unless there is some serious violation of policy committed by management there isn't a whole hell of a lot that the association can do. Never mind that it would fall under "other duties as assigned". Refusing an order never turn's out well for the person refusing it.

You're right. They should say nothing, keep doing their jobs and let the politicians in the country continue to create an atmosphere of hate of LEOs which has led to more violent attacks against them. There is, simply, nothing they can do...
