Non LEO but CCW holder. They let me check it. I asked why no carry at the park and he said an officer dropped his weapon off a roller coaster. But who knows

Went last weekend and the security was a joke. If they are going to have metal detectos and bottle up everyone looking for guns they need an armed presence to monitor it. But all unarmed guards and no BPPD seen anywhere. You would think they would pony up for some cops at the front like most other amusement parks.

I always see Buena Park PD around the entrances.

I went there a month ago. You have to check it in at a locker. Tell the employee at the detector you need to check in a firearm. They'll look at your ID and call over a security supervisor. They walk you into the park to a room full of wall lockers. They put your name on a log and you pick your locker number. Put in your combo, stash your gun and lock it. They'll give you a 5"x5" card that says GUN LOCKER or something on it in huge print. Make sure you put it somewhere no where else can see obviously. Once you're done at the park, you go to guest services near the exit, show your giant gun locker card and they'll call over a security supervisor to get your gun back. It was pretty painless, except for when someone was being an idiot at guest services causing a huge line. It adds an extra 15 minutes to your entry and exit time.

I will say, it is very easy to conceal a gun in a stroller, backpack or whatever to get it past security there. I did see Buena Park PD parked out front one of the 3 days I was there. I don't know if there's a muni code against carrying a gun at Knotts. I also don't know what their approach if you got caught would be. The surrounding neighborhood around Knott's is pretty rough. I wouldn't get caught not carrying just between the walk from Knott's to their hotel. Looks like prime 211 area. I had some parolee types eye f'n me real hard when I went to a CVS within walking distance from the hotel.

I do know Disneyland is no joke. It could even be criminal (still not sure on a muni code there) and Anaheim PD has zero professional courtesy. They forced my LE buddy to vacate the premises and escorted him off the property with a unit following him even though he had a safe in his truck to secure the firearm. No guns on property including the parking lot AT ALL.

Agreed. What professional courtesy should they extend on someone else's property?
