Wildfires

Hey fellow calgunners,

So as most of you are aware, CA is red flagged and we have fires ripping in nor cal and Ventura. I am currently up in Butte county going through a state post academy, 3 of my fellow cadets were living in paradise, luckily we were at training, however 95% of paradise burned to the ground along with everything but the uniforms on their backs. I have been doing non monetary donations (food, clothes, baby wipes etc..) for them a long with dropping off care packs to first responders. If anyone LEO or Fire is up here working and knows of where I could/best way to distribute donations, or if anyone wants to donate/spread the word it would be greatly appreciated!

For any first responders out there, I would drop by a command post and speak with someone in charge there. If you are on the smaller scale of more "individual" donations just hand them over to any first responders you see in the area.

If you have any OES/fire connections, find out the location of any field resupply points and leave some goodies there.

Yeah, so far I've just left with CHP at a roadblock to a staging area I knew of. Also got the name of a church thats hosting evacuees. Appreciate the input!

Words can not express the support my academy has been shown in this time of need. Thank you sir and BVST42 thanks everyone who has been able to help out in whatever capacity they could. In the coming weeks, if there is anyone on here who lives or knows someone who lives in one of the areas in Butte County, do not hesitate to reach out if I can assist with cleanup/any type of manual labor or moving needs evenings or on the weekends.
