    Background investigation.

I am very happy to announce that I have moved on to the background check portion of the process. I am very excited and nervous at the same time. I know the ONLY advice there is to be had on this portion is to be honest. So far the honesty has worked in my favor and will continue to disclose everything no matter how embarrassing or stupid it was.

Thanks to all who offered advice and support. Now just trying to put together all necessary documents to meet the deadline.

Make sure you keep a copy of the packet you're putting together. If you apply at a different department it will save you lots of time.

Excellent advice here. It will also help ensure that you don't submit differing information to separate agencies. That can appear as a conflict, and as evidence that you're hiding something.

Congratulations! Be as detailed as you possibly can. Leave no stone unturned. To the BI, it shows your attention to detail and your honesty.

Thanks to all. I really appreciate all the advice. I will just lay it all out on the table and just see what happens. It has worked for me so far. Hopefully I can get past this phase on move to the next. Once step at a time.
