ATF Form 1 - CLEO Notification

I'm doing some research into NFA paperwork. There's probably not that many LEOs who have received Form 1 notifications from applicants. In case there is any of you who have encountered this, how does your department handle this paperwork? Does it just get filed away? Do you enter NFA firearms into AFS?
