      My wife worked with him occasionally, sad situation.

                      He's been under 24 hour watch from his dept. Today he was taken by an overwhelming procession to the mortuary with the presence of approximately 1,000 law enforcement personnel standing by to pay their respects. An absolutely amazing thing to witness.

                      For those of you who don't know him, he touched the lives of an unbelievable amount of people law enforcement and not.

                      His end of watch was 10-8

                            Just buried a 33 year old friend on Saturday. Really tough to see the 3 kids there...esp since they are identical in age to my own.

                            RIP Mr. Ward. Taken way too young.
