    CHP TSW 4006 Trade in

    Hey Guys,

Are these any good? They look overbuilt, but I don't have first hand experience with this handgun. It'll be a nice to bring one back to it's home state.

I have a little experience with that model. Solid like a tank, very reliable, heavy like a tank. It's a good gun.

I may have accidentally kicked one across several freeway lanes, barely even scuffed it.

It's does have a magazine disconnect. Mags and parts are hard to find. I probably put well over 10,000 rounds through mine with only a routine spring or two replaced.

+ 1 with what Irishjoe3 said. Extremely reliable and robust. One of the few Gen 3 Smith autos with a machined rail. Great price to boot.

I have close to 10k rounds through mine. Parts just started failing on it recently. Mag disco went last month. Just got it back & the trigger bar failed. Dont know that I really trust it at this point, currently carrying a loaner 'till they find the parts to fix. Parts availability would be my main concern if I were to purchase one.

On a positive note you could pistol-whip a Rhino with this thing & not even scratch it. After wearing one for 10 years I'm ready for the M&P.

Yup. One of our range guys just let me fondle his today as a matter of fact. More ammo in a smaller, lighter package. I'm curious to see how they'll hold up over time.

I would buy one if I get a chance. Most officers do not shoot a lot. It may be cosmetically challenged sometimes, but I believe it will be in a good shape.

I have purchased range rental guns in the past, too. They were fine also.
