Ticket and citation history for academy

Hey everyone, I know this isn't gun related but I figured you'd all be able to help me out since you've all done this dance at one point. I'm working on starting my career as an LEO, applying to a few various different academies including the CHP academy. As part of the application process, I need to fill out a criminal history form which includes a request for specific details on every traffic ticket I've ever received. I've already pulled my driving record from the DMV, however it shows as blank. I know for a fact I've gotten at least one or two tickets in the last ten years, and going further to 12-13 years ago there will be significantly more as I was pretty irresponsible from ages 18-21, and I know for a fact that I got some then. I wouldn't for the life of me be able to remember all the specific dates, agencies and infractions associated with those tickets. Is there any way to get a complete record of every ticket you've ever received? I don't want to be DQ'd from the application process because I couldn't track something down, or because I couldn't remember details from a ticket 12 years ago during my pot smoking days.

Do your best to remember. Also, it's their responsibility to do a thorough and complete background check. Keep both these things in mind and do your best to do what's right. Good luck

I would list everything you can remember. Give approximate dates. The good news is that many of those tickets were long, long ago. It helps that you have a long history of no tickets.

List everything you remember. Also, if you recall the county where you were cited, visit the courthouse traffic window. I did that it at least showed I made an effort. I had a ticket which I went to traffic school for so it wasn't on my DMV printout. I was in the same boat of not remembering the date.

The big deal is lying, I wouldn't loose too much sleep over old infractions just show growth since.

The county traffic court's website where you received the citations might have a search function to aid you. Sacramento County's does and SF county's does as well. IIRC, I entered my DL and other identifying information then a list popped up with all documentation supporting each citation.

This is of course assuming that the courts were OCR-ing their documents at the time of your citations.

Maybe you write down "several tickets, nature and dates unknown."

What agency? I know they're all different, but the ones I've applied to handed me the standard CA POST PHS packet. It only asks applicants to "list all traffic citations, excluding parking citations, you have received within the past seven years".

However, like others have stated; list everything and give your best guess for dates.

The courts from the areas you live/lived may have Citation Lookups that you can plug in your DL number and DOB and it'll spit out the citation numbers and dates. They're meant to lookup citations to pay fines or schedule court dates but in San Diego they don't seem to ever scrub the database.
