Police week Wash DC

Myself and 4 of my LEO friends will be in DC for Police week. Leaving 04-10.
This will be our 9th trip, if anyone wants to meet up or is going and has never been, send me a message.

First time I've logged on in a few weeks, I just got back yesterday. It was my first time going, what an experience. I will definitely make an effort to get back next year and am already encouraging more people to go as well.

I have never seen such a show of support for LEO's.

Haven't been to DC yet but went a few times to Sacramento. Anything has to be better than hearing moonbeam trying to put together a coherent sentence about law enforcement. My brother was able to go to DC this year. He said it was pretty awesome. When I rotate out of my current assignment I'll go back to attending these events.

I have never been to Washington DC memorial, but I was at the Sacrament one as a member of the honor guard. It was an experience.

The last one i attended in sacramento was the year the guest speaker spoke about his brother getting killed in the line of duty. He was from Placer County. He had also lost his father some years earlier. Having an older brother in law enforcement as well, it was tough to get through. I was standing right next to my brother during his speech and neither of us looked at each other the whole time......i suspect for the same reason.

Damn didn't check in until now. Woulda got you a beer. I rode into the memorial with the police unity tour chapter 13 and did escort duty at the vigil. Waa a good show of support this year, unfortunate how many names we added to the wall : /.
