I couldn't help noticing the news reports that read, "Evacuations under way... law enforcement is on the ground to protect homes from looting." What the heck?!? If a catastrophic wall of water comes, who or what is supposed to safeguard the law enforcement folks "on the ground"? You guys aren't paid enough for what you're asked to do.

They're probably manning road blocks on the approaches into town with clear exit routes. The dam people have drones and helicopters watching the dam and will warn the police to leave with a lot of time to spare.

If everyone gets out like they're supposed to there will be clear evac routes for the first responders to leave.
