Rumors that ICE will adopt the Sig P320 and MPX

The 320 is a decent pistol. I'm personally not a big fan of it. I know there were issues with shooters unknowingly riding the slide release and when the weapon cycled, it would go to slide lock . Sig took note and increased the bevel on the slide release. This was suppose to fix the problem but I haven't seen an updated version of the 320 yet. Another common issue they were having were FTF's. Some pistols were worse than others. It may have been a multitude of issues from hard primers, to light primer strikes, etc.... If I was an ICE agent, I'd try like hell to keep my 229. You may get a few more rounds with the 320, but in a dire need to use your weapon, I'd take reliability any day of the week over a shiny new version of a proven platform.

The new versions are out. I've officially seen 3 generational variations of the P320 with different lightening cuts in the slides and other minor improvements.

I own one with all 3 small bore calibers as options. The only issue I've had was with the 9mm failing to feed a few 124 gr reloads. It fed new ammo without issue.

.357 Sig was a very tame and .40 felt like .40. I did update to the newer slide stop and front take down lever. I did not update to the newer adverse trigger as I did not have the trigger slap issue that others did. I wasn't able to reproduce the slide stop riding after the upgrade.

Speaking of the P2000. Anyone remember the USBP agent that fell off his ATV and broke the grip? The LEM trigger is much better than the DAK trigger. DAK is a very odd system. It's like a reverse DA/SA where the lighter pull is at full reset or trigger release, but the heavier pull is at the shorter reset or initial release.
