Will be going there for vacation.

How do they treat off duty LE?

You don't (prohibited + metal detectors). Enter vis CityWalk. The LASD substation has (or used to have) lockers for visiting LEO's.

Advice: Vacation somewhere nicer. Like Hawaii, Sierras, Bahamas, Alaska...etc....
