How long to receive 10851 pin?

I work for a PD and sent in my application for my first 10851 pin a while back. Any chippies or anyone else know a rough time frame for how long it takes CHP to process the requests? I know I'll have to factor in the snail like pace paperwork moves through my own department.

The ones I have got before have taken about 2 months, but that was when another guy was in charge of the program. If you need it ASAP, for photos or testing, I would suggest trying to find out who is running the program and call them directly. For my first couple I went thru our GTA detective, but after I went directly to the source my turn around time was weeks at the most. Hope it helps a bit...congrats! Rollers were always fun ��

First of all, congrats and thanks for recovering all those cars.

Second, it's usually 6-8 weeks depending on which Division you're in.

First one I received took almost two years since the time I submitted everything in.

I never submitted for any of them and I could have qualified for 14 of them (working in the high desert is a cherry patch for GTAs!!!). I didn't want anything else that was shiny on my uniform!!
