    Question on knee protective gear.

I am not a LEO, but have a question about knee protection gear.

Over the years I have used both inexpensive and expensive articulated roofers knee pads but they all have a tendency to slip down regardless of means of securing to the leg.

Do any of you gentlemen have experience with Damascus Imperial knee protection knee pads? If so, your opinion of comfort and their ability to stay in place. This is for home use; yard and household choirs, with getting up and down.

(I would assume that the average officer might be annoyed with slipping knee pads during crowd control situations, thus the question).

i've never had knee pads that didn't slip. it's annoying. The only ones that don't are ones integrated into the pants, like the crye precision or 5.11 bdu pants. they work great. hope this helps

Agreed. Although I don't wear kneepads at work, while I was in the service, knee pads often became shin/ankle pads within a quarter of a mile.

What a rip, those used to be free with the pants.

I think you might get more / better feedback from the .mil folks. With some exceptions, most LEO's don't wear knee or elbow pads often. The ones we have for crowd control / disturbances are complete sets all in one bag with everything. They work fine, but I can't even remember the brand name.

I just saw the fist tactical brand last week and will be getting them soon. I've used similar in the past during training classes.

DeusEx, thanks. When I did a search on LA PG a few days back those did not show up.

                          Thanks,
