LWRC A1

Gentleman, I have a friend that's thinking of buying an LWRC A1. Yes We live in CA. But he has been a deputy for over 20 years. The question is doe he have to make the rifle CA compliment even though he is a Leo? Or can he keep the rifle stock as bought from LWRC?

If he is going to get a letter from his sheriff approving the purchase and he will register it as an assault rifle with that letter, then it stays stock.

If his sheriff will not give him a letter, then he has to make the rifle California compliant like any other citizen of our wonderful state.
