    Nightstick back draw?

    How does that work?

Seen the YouTube video saying back draw a sword does not work. They claim it is just a movie thing!

It's even worse with a shotgun. I don't care what Michael Douglas says.

    It's not PTSD, it's nostalgia.

They look European so I'm going to guess that method of carry allows them to still be able to ride their motorscooters and fixie bikes.

There is nothing tougher than a cop on a Vespa cruising down a sandy beach.

      ... At least in Europe.

Maybe bike patrol and the standard length stick does not work well on the hip?

Looks like only the bottom few inches is actually in a sheath and then there may be some sort of break free clip about halfway up the back.

It looks like trickster has it figured right. Small pic, that would work though, and it's not near as long as a sword.

Shotgun or rifle behind back is actually easy to get into action, difference being the sling doesn't interfere w use because you're not swinging it around. You don't try taking it off the shoulder first or take it over. Bring it under the arm it's pretty quick. Always carried it like that hunting

That's what it looks like to me too.
              Sorry, not sorry.

I don't know about the draw part but it sure looks like the one I carried in the 60's ( the night stick not the sword). I was forever slamming the patrol car door on the damn thing!
