    Ruger LCP

Anyone using LCP as a back-up pistol?

I bought one, but now mostly use Glock 43.

I carry it in my pocket every day. I carry an M&P 9c for duty and an M&P Shield 9mm for off duty. I just like that it is barely noticeable compared to other backups.

Yes, I do. It's not the best option but it gets the job done. Worst trigger I've ever shot. It will go literally anywhere though. Pocket, vest, ankle...you name it.

It's my summertime carry gun. Fits nicely in a pocket. My last on duty back up gun was a S&W 669 in 9mm

I love mine. It's accurate, reliable, and super concealable. Hopefully I'll be able to carry it as an off-duty backup some day. Currently it's an "around the house" carry gun.

It's a "best of the breed".

Watch your take down pins. I had mine back out twice and the slide came off the gun while firing it. They replaced the gun because they claimed the frame was damaged (which was causing the pin to back out). If you google the problem, it's well known. It's a very concealable gun, and not too bad of a shooter, but I don't trust it as much anymore. My go to .380's are my P238 and G42 now.

I had the take down pin backing problem once but it has never repeated. I thought it was an anomaly. Good to know about this.

I haven't owned a LCP but have shot them a few times; I do not like to shoot them one bit and prefer my S&W 642 for a pocket gun.

There is an aftermarket takedown pin that solves this problem and works great

I have a kahr p380, they have a bad reputation for having a break in period but once you get passed it, its has a great trigger and much more accurate than the ruger.

I keep mine in off hand pants pocket barely noticeable but ready to go. The department didn't allow any Ruger firearms on their approved matrix until about a year and half ago but I am glad they changed it.

I had an LC9, thought it was junk. Horrendous trigger.

I now have an LCR38, and it is the polar opposite, awesome.
