    Dallas Memorial

    Too little too late?

If this speech was given after Ferguson would it have ended the BLM movement?

    Political pandering?

    What say you?

The blood of a lot of LEO's killed recently is on his hands. No question.
Knives don't stab people, cars don't drive drunk, eating utensils don't make you fat and pencils don't mis-spell words.

If you are referring to Obama's speech, it was despicable IMO. Interjecting politics, gun control, and race relations (talking about racism in LEA's) was pathetic. He should have just stayed away if he could not help himself.

A big improvement, but doesn't make up for the past and in my opinion, especially because of his past, an inappropriate place to make a political speech like that... 40 minutes of politics in front of five grieving families... Then there was President Bush, who nailed it.

He started promoting his "Blacks v LE" agenda, shortly after taking office with his beer gate debacle.

On July 22, 2009. President Barack Obama said about the incident, "I don't know, not having been there and not seeing all the facts, what role race played in that. But I think it's fair to say, number one, any of us would be pretty angry; number two, that the Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home, and, number three, what I think we know separate and apart from this incident is that there's a long history in this country of African Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately." Law enforcement organizations and members objected to Obama's comments and criticized his handling of the issue. In the aftermath, Obama stated that he regretted his comments and hoped that the situation could become a "teachable moment".
He could have, and should have STFU after the very first underlined sentence. Instead he has continued to act and speak divisively on all things LE and minority related. Fomenting aggression towards LE whenever he can.

          "Teachable Moment" my ***.

He turned a memorial into his political platform. Unforgivable in my opinion.

He should have never mentioned the shootings in Minnesota and Baton Rouge. He can call a press conference any freaking time he wants to talk about those thugs.

The body language of the Dallas PD Officers in the background clearly signaled their displeasure.

George W. Bush was respectful and comforting in his words.

IMO to cloud the memorial with anything but sharing about the officers (lives/family/accomplishments etc.) was totally unacceptable.

I also liked Bush's speech. I liked Chief Brown's (S. Wonder) love speech directed to the officer's families and DPD.
