Dallas LE targeted

This topic isn't appropriate for LEO's to discuss on a LEO sub-forum? Not arguing, just a bit confused, as it really doesn't appear to be "off-topic", or related to any type of General Gun discussion, it's more a LEO event, since a heck of a lot of LEO lives were taken / changed forever. I know I'd prefer to discuss this with others in the field, and not the yahoos on "off-topic".

As I have explained several times, Calguns is not a news aggregator. We have a focus - gun rights, and 'technical' gun topics.

The actions of violent criminals don't ordinarily fall into either of those; the threads about their crimes don't 'fit' anywhere.

The political response to those crimes, however, can strongly influence gun rights. Those discussions should be in 2A Politics and Activism for general responses (President, Governor, Legislature) or here for things like staffing, training, preparation and local-to-CA LE issues.

Out of CA can certainly be appropriate here - what LE in New York or Chicago or Dallas might choose to do in response to their issues might be copied in other places.

Thank you. Texas has open carry and is a SHALL issue state. My main focus is on officer responses, actions and what we should be looking out for as a result of this planned attack.

Heavy losses in Dallas, not just those killed, but those who suffered possibly life changing physical devastation from being shot with a rifle round. More police ambushes through out the US today. Missouri, Tennessee and Georgia. Unknown injuries / deaths at this time. Guess this week will be donning the "hats and bats", again. Keep those Glock "happy sticks" close.

Sad days. This administrations stance on race, police and rule of law have resulted in this type of stuff. The FBI, after the US Attorney met with her husband days earlier, showed the world what banana republic we've become. Lawlessness and chaos keeps rearing it's ugly heads and all our president does is take advantage of each crisis for political purpose. What the hell is happening to our country, and why are we allowing this to happen? Vote these nation killing ideas out before it's really too late.

Quite honestly, it seems like a perfect time to pick up an outer carrier level 4 vest with plates. Especially if tasked to do these types of "events" in addition to the PAGST helmets and other associated gear.

Currently no assessed threats here in the LA AO/r, but one can never be too sure.

Stay frosty folks, looks like the bad guys have been taking literal pot shots in other jurisdictions.

I wonder if this is a trend going forward or just blow-by from a couple of these police shootings. Seems like everything that has happened is racially motivated. Racism is definitely alive and well in this country.
