    LEOs and SB 1235 Ammo

With this new law LEOs should be able to buy online after sending in copy of credentials right?
Nothing prohibits friends or family out of state sending it to you does it?

From the exemption for LEO's with the statute that would seem to be the case. The problem is we don't know if the out of State vendors / sellers will accept the credentials.

Some out of State vendors / sellers may not want to be bothered with the hassle and will not sell to non FFL dealers. We just don't know yet. There's lot of current out of State vendors that will not sell some merchandise to Californians even though it is legal to.

Only time will tell when this statute gets sorted out. It's going to be a real hassle for California retail stores to get on board with this. I believe some like Walmart will probably stop selling ammunition.

While LEO's will be exempt, purchasing online will probably be similar to the way it is now. There will be some retailers who will accept a copy of credentials and ship ammo like certain retailers do with magazines. However, there are many retailers who now will not ship anything to California, including to LEO's. So you may encounter the same thing with ammunition after January.
