That was a really well written little piece and goes a long way to explaining the "cop attitude".

      Good post.

I liked it. Sometimes, you have to show the firm attitude to overcome some dirt bags who try to take advantage of you.

          That was good.

Aw jeeze, now I've gotta read it....

Edit: Ok, well written & very concise. As such, it will be ignored or completely misunderstood. Read some of the comments that follow...sigh.

It was an interesting read but the opening question that spawned the response is somewhat of a turn off.

Why do police officers often come across as arrogant?
The word often implies more often than not which I don't believe is true. I question the history of the person asking as I would gather most of their law enforcement interaction comes by way of the trouble they were making.

Yeah looking further it sure seems like a troll board of sorts...

Good read. Even though i work in corrections and bot a police officer I have been told that i come off as somewhat of an a**hole. I think a lot of it comes from being around dirt bags 24/7 and always suspicous of everything people do.

^^^ I had an IA investigator tell me I needed to work on my facial expressions during an interview about a courtesy complaint. I am sure he did not like the look I gave him in response.
