Gotta love all the youtube comments about the cop being a p***y and not being able to pull his gun out and fire back. There probably isn't a swinging d*ck one of those jackasses on youtube who's ever had a gun pointed in their face, let alone someone who's been shot at. Those who usually ***** about the police the most are the ones who want them there the fastest when they need them.....

The cop did what he had to do at the worst possible second in his life. He will probably come back to duty and that takes a lot of balls after almost being shot. He's lucky. Very lucky. Hopefully he's ok.

Officer Valencia was saved by his vest.

          Now for the happy ending.

Floyd Cook, 62, was fatally shot near Burkesville, Kentucky, after being traced to a wooded area with the help of a police helicopter's thermal camera. Law enforcement agents converged on a building in the hunt for Cook, who was accused of shooting a Tennessee police officer during a traffic stop on Saturday.

Thank God this officer is ok and was wearing his vest. Saw this on liveleak last night. Pathetic how many chairborne rangers think they could have handled the situation better.

Great video to show how the officer's first impression was 100% correct.

The guy in the truck was hinky, officer knew he was, asked to show hands, hands on steering wheel, etc. non-compliance and then let his guard down and it turned into a soup sandwich.

                Agreed 1911, what you said.

In my other post, instead of writing "red flags red flags red flags", I should have written "Take action on those red flags!" The officer's instincts were there, he just didn't respond quickly enough or assertively enough to those warning signs.

Fight or flight instinct. I have no qualms about what he did.

Maybe he didn't feel like getting into a fire fight that day. I have no problem with that at all.

                  Glad he is OK.

Yup! Absolutely NO accountability/responsibility for those who let scumbags out early (or pardon them, etc)!

At the end of the day no one really knows how they are going to react especially if they've never been shot at before. That's the decision he made in the moment and it allowed him to survive. We are always behind the eightball anyway. No guarantees you'll be able to shoot back. Officer created distance and it probably saved his life.

I hope one day we can hold our politicians responsible for allowing these animals out of their cage.
