    This it It !!!

Yesterday was officially my last day of work. Although I was off work for the last couple of weeks, the final day came and gone. I have turned in my issue gear, turned in my badge and ID, and turned in all my credentials for the bureau.

Bought back my service pistol, was issued a retired credential with CCW endorsement, and was issued a HR-218 certificate. I am DONE.

Went out and had dinner with friends and celebrated. Woke up this morning feeling pretty good.

I am officially an unemployed, and jobless man !!!!

Congrats. Take some time to relax and do some stuff you enjoy. I immediately went back to work after I retired, and in hindsight I would not have done that.

That is why I decided ti take about a year or so off before I even think about getting a job of some sort.

Excellent idea. I took a year and a half off after retiring, then went back to finish a Federal retirement (and get enough quarters in to get a little Social Security).
It takes a while, but the stress of day to day work slowly fades away.
Footloose and fancy free, take a vacation with no scheduled return date!

                            Congratulations on making it!

That is why I planned to travel around the US, hitting every single one of the 48 states, even if I just go through a corner of a state. I have not set the date, but it will happen later part of this year or early next year.
