I just found out they have them now and after calling, they no longer offer LEO gun lockers. They said to leave them in your car. They obviously dont want any guns there. A great soft target and an American symbol. Dumb.

Yikes. Seriously? It's practically an invitation to be a target

There are only a few detectors and guests are selected i assume randomly. Good to hear about the UC guys.Comment

That doesn't include their own security. I'd wager 1 per 2-300 guests. Also on site Anaheim fire station in addition to their own registered nurses and an FBI office.Originally posted by InsanePropaneNegative. Plain clothes Anaheim PD inside.
$5MM/year. 8 officers at 88/hr 14hr days.
Uniformed OT still available to those plain clothes coppers.
They have beefed up.
Enhanced details are not disclosed but, little bird says. A lot more nowComment

they have their own security systems and personnel, outside contractors (recently hired after a credible threat was received, these are the guys that brought in the metal detectors), local law enforcement, and even bomb dogs disguised as service animals throughout the entire park. Security checks at every entrance and a very secure perimeter.
Theres always a chance of a problem, but in actuality D-land is one of the safest places you could visit short of the pentagon or white house, even if they wont let you carry you own gunRightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.

Disneyland reminds me of airports, good security presence at the hard entrances, but if you know the layout to these places there are plenty of ways to circumvent the security measures in place.
The threat assessment class I went to really opened my eyes to how vulnerable we are if we ever get a enemy with half a brain. I'm surprised things don't happen more often to be honest.
Even with metal detectors, I would bet money I could get my gun in Disneyland without much of a fuss. But their house their rules, I'll spend my money elsewhere.Last edited by ls2monaro; 01-10-2016, 9:53 AM.Comment

Cameras everywhere and one of the most advanced facial recognition programs in the world. A friend was Anaheim PD and told of being obvious in tracking/watching a couple groups of Arabs in town just so they knew Disney couldn't be their target. Our daughter was working Autopia and a fight broke out in the back within about 30 seconds 8 security guys had it ended - that was 10 years ago.Originally posted by InsanePropaneSurveillance is unreal.
