Welcome to the club. I've been retired almost 5 years and don't regret it one bit. Get a couple of hobbies. Travel in the off season is better.

        This is my shield.
I bare it before me into battle, but it is not my own.
It protects the brother on my left.
        It protects my city.
I will never let my brother out of its shadow, nor my city from its
        shelter.
I will die with my shield before me, facing the enemy.

Congrats, now you need to set a day off the week for the range.

This is important. I'm working 20 hrs a week now. Its pretty cool to have that extra money. The other thing I noticed is I'm closer to my pets than ever before!

I started countdown at 1,610 days. I guess it is roughly a little over 4 years. It went by quick enough.

                        3 rules of retirement.
                        1. Never pass up a bathroom.
                        2. Never pass up on a good hard on.
                        3. Never trust a fart.

Abide by these 3 golden rules and enjoy my Brother!!!
Knives don't stab people, cars don't drive drunk, eating utensils don't make you fat and pencils don't mis-spell words.

Man, I am envious. I have a minimum of 11 yrs and a max of 16 yrs left. If things don't change with my agency, I see my self bailing at 20 yrs and going to work for the USPS in another state.
