Routine Traffic Stop, Out of State CCW Question

I posed this question on the "How Does Ca Law Apply to Me", and got several different answers. Not quite sure because it's actually a two part question. Could one of you nice LEO's give this a go???
1)As a Ca resident, will a NV non-resident CCW show up on a drivers license check by Ca LEO?
2)If so, is it enough to prompt a search of your vehicle?

Finding out the driver has a valid Ccw, alone, is not probable cause to search a vehicle without a warrant.

If the DL check shows the driver holds an out of State CCW, would an LEO not want to make sure there was not a weapon? Especially in Ca?
"Sir, do you mind if I search your vehicle?"
I would very much like to find out the answer to question 1.

If it is a Ca DL check, then no. The ncic return should only show the DL info. If you ran a wants/ warrants query it may show up.

What's the root question you have here? Your original question smells of something else on your mind.

I don't think CDL info is connected to CCW license info.

Nothing fishy, just really curious about what shows up on a "routine" stop. I would imagine your dispatcher might run "wants and warrants", and that would also show a CCW for someone out of State? But what about a CA resident with Out of State CCW?
I posses a commercial drivers license, and believe it's tied to a National Registry?, and would "assume" everything about me is available. Just curious, If a CA resident, with an Out of STATE CCW, is tied into any other database, other than Ca.

I'm not too sure how many times it needs to be explained to you. RickD427 explained it very well in your other thread. I believe he was a Lt. at LASO and his information is usually spot on.

I'm not sure how you got from a CCW connected to DMV which it isn't in CA to it being connected to a warrant system. I've never seen anything in any warrant system that was not a arrest warrant. It may be flagged by the agency that entered it into the system with important info like if the subject has a ccw I'd think would be important, but that is up to the agency that enter's the info. It's been a while since I had to do dispatch (forced light duty) but I'm thinking it would take quite a bit of digging in databases to locate a non-resident CCW, and that some of those other states might get annoyed on such a search, not to mention it probably violates more than one "need to know access restriction".

I've never seen any database in Ca that lists Ca resident's who have non-resident CCW's in other states, as far as being in other databases in other states I say yes since you started the paper trail that put you in that state's database.

Since Ca does not recognize any other state CCW, and anyone with one should check prior to entering the state, I'd guess not too many are getting checked. Since carrying it would be a crime, as would bringing in large cap mags, then again people do stupid stuff every day without regard to if it's legal or not.

Well some here, not necessarily the OP, seem to assume that if one LEO does something or thinks a certain way, then they pretty much all do. Can you imagine the reaction if people felt the same way about some other groups of people.

My guess is that you travel back and fourth. You plan on packing your piece for the Nevada carry. But, you are concerned that if you get stopped and your Ca DL is run, the ccw will pop up and get your car searched finding the gun and you get carted off to jail.

In 10 years, I've never seen any kind of CCW info pop up when I run someone on a car stop, CA or otherwise.

I've NEVER had the inclination to try and check another state to see if they have one or not. It doesn't matter to me.
