General pattern is application, written exam, PFT, background (interview, packet, investigation), polygraph, medical, psych and commander/chief's interview. Some agencies may put the interview in a different place or have another interview.

At this stage, you are in a large pool of candidates. The agency will "band" groups of candidates. Those bands will get letters or calls, depending on how big of a group, letting each know the next step. As the process goes on and the pool shrinks, calls maybe appropriate depending on the agency.

Depending on agency and where in the cycle they are figure 6-12 months before you get an academy date.

Ask the agency you applied at what their hiring process consists of. You'll only get general answers here.

You can just tell us and maybe some of the members might work for that department or agency.

Thank you. The general answers were sufficient and have satisfied my question. It is not you members that I am concerned with; it is the rest of the public that can view this thread.

I will update as my process progresses.
