    Thanks To SBSO Deputy

Driving out to AZ last night, and I hit a full size steel rim and tire that was in the middle of a dark desolate road. Resident Dep on his way home found me trying to assess the damage and stopped. He stayed with me and offset his vehicle behind me until a tow truck arrived. Thanks for helping out...

The skid plate under the vehicle is smashed in several places. The spare tire carrier was ripped off the vehicle and well as half of the rear bumper. We were able to remove what remained of the spare tire carrier, and put the spare in the vehicle. We then used zip ties and duct tape to secure the rear bumper. It's going to the shop on Monday, and hopefully it will be GTG in a couple weeks. We were lucky that it missed the radiator.

Is SBSO just the most friendly and helpful SO in the state? They're always polite and professional IME. Must have to do with saving so many people from dying from exposure and dehydration. Hat tip.

OP - Send a note to his captain. They'll appreciate it and place it in his personnel file.

You can mend the world with Zip-Ties and Duct Tape.

                Glad you're good.
