The woman had come into the police station with a simple request: she wanted to hug an officer. She told police she was very upset over the recent loss of so many law enforcement officers across the country.

Sometimes it's the little things that mean the most. Stay safe out there brother's and sisters.

Imagine the first half of the video being the same but when the officer leans in for the hug, he executes a hair-pull take-down instead.

The optics of that would not have been good. I would have performed a cat-like side step followed by a grandiose double arm sweep, sort of a distraction blow without the actual blow.
