    Range time!

So, I was thinking earlier today about how I could arrange some time to go shooting before/after work. Then I realized it was range day and I was going to get paid to shoot my duty weapons for part of my shift. Then I would get paid to clean my duty weapons/gear. Then I would go eat lunch. Some days I love my job.

    That is all.

And the higher score you get, the more $ you get!

When you get more money for shooting monthly and annually, the bigger your retirement check is, based on your annual income!!!

    I speak from experience!

I did not make the rules, I just followed them

Dang, must be nice! We can shoot on duty but it has to be squeezed in as time permits. Not uncommon to be at the range and get a call and have to skidaddle out of there.

I WISH I got paid extra to shoot more often... Now THAT would be the gig to have.

Well, I am in a "special" unit now so we get to shoot without being interrupted (barring all hell breaking loose in the county or something..). It is quite nice, let me tell you! I will admit on this open forum that I did throw two rounds; missed one steel dinger while shooting out of a patrol vehicle and instead of a good hit on a reactive target's chest I hit him in the abdomen... Good thing I get to shoot again later on company time again

It'll come before ya know it! I just need to see if I can get my boss to sign off on my whole team going to Front Sight or something similar for a three day class and use some training days...
