    Are FD Arson Investigators peace officers 24/7 or just while on duty?

          I trained them on firearms when I was a firearms instructor. I don't know if they can carry 24/7 or on duty only.

              It depends. Cal-Fire has sworn LEO Arson Investgators. Some municipal departments send their guys through a PC 832 course and firearms training. They do not carry off duty.
