    **Academy Prep**Renamed

So, I (Finally!) am attending the academy starting next month. My orientation is tomorrow 7/9 and I just realized that dress code was not discussed during my phone call where I was informed that I got accepted. My default plan is to dress the same as my interview (suit), and bring some changes of other clothes just in case. Advice?

I'm going, so I changed the name of this thread.

You should never be faulted for being dressed better than the guy next to you.

      Business Attire.

Change of clothes in your car is good.

I showed up in a suit and unpolished boots (I didn't know anything about polishing at that point!), but should have gotten rid of my beard and shoulder length hair beforehand. Somehow I'm still employed.

A suit will never be wrong. Also congrats on getting into the academy.

Thank you all! I think I'll be set then. I just got a haircut today, will be shaving tomorrow, and rocking my suit. I'll be bringing my DD214, DL, and something to write on and take notes. Anything else I should bring?

A nice suit is always a good choice, but don't go too expensive on it. Comfortable shoes that are appropriate for the attire are best, you may be on your feet for quite a while, or worse. Oh wear dress socks, that go with the suit, don't be the guy in white socks in a dark suit, someone will notice.

Also try and disguise some running socks under your dress..... Yes it happens. Good luck!
