So if I'm in my 5th wheel or motor home and someone knocks on the door or window is this "Assault (civil) & battery (civil, and likely criminal)"? How about when one is in their home? Is a home an extension of the person?

So, now it is ironic that the State whittles away at the right of its citizens to defend themselves from the possible oppression of their State.

Was the strike due to.....
415.1 PC Unlawfully fighting, or challenging another person to fight, in a public place.
415.2 PC Disturbing another person by loud and unreasonable noise; if this is done willfully and maliciously, and
415.3 PC Using offensive words in a public place . . . if the words are likely to provoke an immediate violent reaction.
All 3 are misdemeanors which require citizens arrest if the violation didn't occur in a peace officer's presence. Many departments require that people arrested for misdemeanor violations be released on a written promise to appear unless there is a reasonable likely hood that the offense will continue(because they don't pay for the bed space at jail or want to avoid paying for it).Comment
