Props to Caltrans for doing something great.

Posted by Officer Chetcuti's son online:

Just wanted to give a shout out to Caltrans! I noticed my fathers freeway sign was missing the other day and learned it had been knocked down by a vehicle. I just notified them of this the other day. I received a message from them saying they sent a crew out today because they wanted to put it up before the anniversary of his death tomorrow.

I didn't ask them to rush or do my family any favors. I just simply advised them that it was down and was hoping they could put it back up in the near future. They did it simply out of respect and said "god bless". As hard as it is every year, simple gestures and acts of kindness don't go unnoticed.

It's a nice feeling knowing that people that didn't even know my father care so much. It means a lot. Thank you Caltrans District 4 crew!

Sorry for your loss. May he rest in piece.
Growing up in San Bruno, and frequently driving past his memorial sign on HW101 in Millbrae, I always thought of him and that sign inspired me to join LE. I never even met him but always heard great things about him from others around the Peninsula.
