    Firearm transport LA/Kern county

    I have a GunVault brand combination lockbox. Just wondering if it is legal to have a loaded handgun, locked in the vault, and in my vehicle traveling through LA/Kern counties. I do not currently have a ccw. I did search the DOJ website but couldn't find anyhing specific except it has to be in a locked case. Just want to make sure I didnt miss anything. Any help/referances would be greatly appreciated.

              Without CCW, unloaded is generally required.
