Research - Biothane Off Duty Belts

Have any of you worn Biothane off duty gun belts? If yes, what did you like, and what did you not like about the belt, the material and the durability?

What was your reason for purchasing the Biothane belt? Strength, all weather proof, durability, crack and fade resistance, or price?

    Would you buy Biothane again?

    not an LEO.

I have a biothane belt made by maxpedition, probably been wearing it 4-8 times a month for the last decade.

It has held up well and is very stiff. Sometimes it is a little stickier to thread through belt loops if the loops are snug (I run 1.5").

I still prefer the Wilderness' Frequent Flyer, just because of the infinite adjustability a ring loop buckle gives.

The only thing I don't like about belts in general that the biothane shares is the incremental spacing between holes.

If it was a snake, it would have bit me.

has the biothane shown any noticeable wear? If a biothane belt was available as a infinitely adjustable ring loop design would you consider it?

Very minor wear at edges, not really noticeable.

Double ring/rigger buckle design wont work, biothane is too stiff vertically and laterally. A slider type buckle might work, but maybe not because they usually depend on the material compressing, and biothane won't compress well.

But if biothane were infinitely adjustable, I might consider it, but afaik no such design exists. Another penalty is weight, it is going to be heavier than a nylon belt, but it is not so heavy that I would disqualify it.
