There is one thing we do miss in California. There was a great Chinese restaurant in Woodland called Golden Dragon. Best we've ever had. For some reason Arizona lacks a great Chinese place. We have great everything else, Japanese, Italian, Mexican, you name it, but no real great Chinese for some reason.

Based on your comment I was ready to drive out to Woodland to check it out...but maybe not. I'll read deep into the reviews to see what's what though.

Reno is similar...no decent Mongolian BBQ / Stir Fry joints like the Bay Area.
But I do drop in on a few as I pass Rocklin. We have lots of Chinese, Italian, Greek, Austrian...

I saw the middle aged trim in Scottsdale well enough to forget about the various cuisines of the world enough to consider living there 10 months out of the year.Comment

You are right about lacking good Chinese food, but I’ll include Mexican food as well. It’s not as bad as the Chinese but it’s not as good as the Mexican food were I lived in CA. The reason is much of the Mexican food here is Sonoran style, it’s ok but not nearly as good as Mexican food from farther south in Mexico like Michoacan. But it’s still miles better then that Tex-Mex crap.Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.Comment

Yes, I like American style Mexican better. Like what they have in American restaurants.👍 1Comment
