Anyone done the CdA-Vegas run? I have to head down in a couple of weeks to pick up a piece of equipment w/ a trailer. Gmaps tells me I-90 to I-15 (Butte, MT) then south to LV. Of course late season weather could be an issue, but has anyone gone this route, or through Boise and across to Twin Falls and down? I will probably do the interstate route just for infrastructure and better chance of service/recovery along major arteries. But I could be missing something....

Have done legs of both routes on different trips to NV in all four seasons. The I90/I15 would absolutely be the best with a trailer in winter. US95/US93 in winter with a trailer, no thanks. Summer in a fun/faster car, you bet."Common sense is not so common" - Voltaire
