Love The Boise Like Weather Here In N Utah

Thanks to La Niña and the Pineapple Express, rain here in Salt Lake Valley and HEAVY water laden snow in the Wasatch (West edge of the Rocky) mountains this Winter.. Great for the snowpack and the Salt Lake come Spring. To continue as well. Haven't needed the snowblower, only light shovelling..

Reminds me of my Winters in Riverside County.

You guys in the Boise area have it great..

We have a son and daughter both in Boise. They skied at Bogus Basin Saturday night.

As for us here in N Idaho, pretty much the same conditions as you. No snow blower needed this season yet. But high moisture content snow has been a PITA when it has snowed. We have a very long driveway.

Looks like we got an inch last night/this morning @30 degrees probably more of the same.

We visited the kids this summer and roasted. 104+ every dang day. Not for me.

We finally got some snow here in Star, last night. Maybe 4" or so, which is really the only significant snowfall all winter. We had an inch or so in December, but it was melted and gone in a day or two.
Always looking for vintage Winchester and Marlin lever action rifles. Looking to sell? Know of one for sale? Drop me a line!

You’re getting more snow than up north to date. We dropped 2” of light snow last night with 4 more on the way tonight into tomorrow. It’s finally cold enough to be powder.

And...... it's almost all gone now.

Your temps and sun exposure must be higher. It’s 16 right now and temps will be into single digits over the next week. None of the snow we’ve accumulated has melted for the most part. No sun.
Our prior home in SLT had a similar pattern to Star/Boise. Sure, we would get 3-6’ of powder overnight but usually the sun came out within a day or two and would start melting.
