Heading over there Saturday in search of a Marlin 336cb 30-30 (unobtanium, but who knows) or a Winchester Centennial with 26 inch octagon barrel in 30-30 for lever-action silhouette. Or maybe a Marlin 336A with 24 inch barrel in 30-30. Will be fun as always looking through all the displays!

If you want to meet up let me know, and I'll do my best to help you spend your money!
Always looking for vintage Winchester and Marlin lever action rifles. Looking to sell? Know of one for sale? Drop me a line!

Lever guns are my jam...... Winchesters mostly, but I have a couple of Marlins squirreled away.... one of them is a '94 CBC in .38spl. That Marlin 336CB might be a tough one to find at the gun show, But I'll keep my eye out for you. I'll be there Saturday as well, and probably Sunday because I have nothing better to do.I believe we met once before briefly, when I was selling one of my Garands. Edit to add: just closed a deal for a Winchester 94 Canadian Centennial, 1967 manufacture, 26 inch octagon barrel in 30-30, from Guns International. Will use the Win and/or my old Marlin 1895cb with long barrel in 45-70 for lever-action rifle silhouette, Marlin 39a for smallbore lr, and 1894cb in .357 in pistol-caliber lever. The competitions start up at Black's Creek range in February.
Still, if I see a good centennial or especially a Marlin 336cb in 30-30, I'll be making offers! I note that there are a few 336cb's now and then on GB but they are all in .38-55.Last edited by Rotnguns; 01-02-2025, 12:47 PM.Comment

Hey, Bigboss! Yep, I remember a group of us met there about a year ago! I've got a Marlin 1894cb in .357 in NIB condition but man, it was costly - $2050 from gunbroker and must have been about 50 bids on it. I am planning on 9 am Saturday when it opens because my wife and I have plans later Saturday. I will be wearing my floppy bush hat and blue BSU jacket - hope we can meet up! I can use your expert advice on all things lever action.

I am a member there and have volunteered as a range officer, but have only recently decided to compete in the silhouette events so looking forward to a new adventure! I'd enjoy being a spotter but have never done so, would like to learn!Comment

Danodog, I cannot make it to the gun show this weekend. Came down with terrible stomach issue after volunteering at the food bank Friday morning - likely something I ate there but I don't want to risk getting people sick if it's the flu or some such. Terribly sorry for cancelling at this late hour. DM also sent.Comment

I was finally able to make it around 2:30pm. My battery died on my 2012 Corvette. It was nice to see tables of guns, but I did miss the presence of specific curio relics such as Swedish Mausers, Swiss Rifles, etc. I know the golden age of C&R’s are over. They had a lot of Winchesters, Handguns, AR’s. Show was a little smaller than I remember when I frequented them back in the 1990’s. BigBossMan and Rotnguns, we will have to plan a meet up in the future.Calguns Contributor

Last time I went to the Caldwell gun show was about thirty years ago, when it was held in the old Armory. A great show that was surprisingly large. I'm planning on going to the Emmett show on Saturday - been years since I've been to the fairgrounds - back in the day they used to have horse races with wagering for one month in the Spring, back in the 1970's.Comment
