I feel that too many D's have moved into AZ and they are still voting based on their old habit. Charlie Kirk lives in AZ and I hope he will continue to get new R's registered to vote and get them to the polls when the time comes. Otherwise, it will always be a steep hill to climb for R's during any election and for any candidate to win.

Check back at prior Repub senators from AZ. The last one was Martha McSally, and shes was appointed, not elected. Jeff Flake was elected, and we know how he turned out. Same with McStain. Kyl was the only good one in the last 2 decades. My point is, that Repub senators don't get elected much in AZ. People (mostly kalis) keep saying "too many dems from kali moving to AZ", when the truth is kali has been pissing Demtards on us since the 60's that I remember. Could have been before that too. We've had plenty of Dem governors too.I get that and I agree, but the facts are you ain’t gonna win the war if you can’t make it to the battlefield. Her failure to make it to the battlefield twice have given us two extremely left leaders in our state. Do I blame the party for not helping her enough, sure. But in the end I blame her more, she is a two time loser and her failures have hurt our state and country and I’m done with her.Comment

I understand all that too, but this election was a mandate across the entire country. If there was ever a time we should have broke through and elected a Republican senator it was now. We elected a Republican president by a lot, we elected 6 out of 9 congressmen. Even with all that momentum Lake got spanked by a guy that everyone recognizes as a far left loon, I’ve defended and stuck up for her in the past but no more. If Kari wants to know why she lost all she has to do is look in the mirror, I’m not making any more excuses for her failures.Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.Comment

I am wondering however on one thing, maybe someone can explain it to me. I live in Arizona (Pima county) and my question is how can Trump win by the numbers he did and then Gallegos win by the numbers he did. It makes little to no sense in my opinion that a voter will vote red then go down ballot and vote blue? That aspect just doesn't make logical sense to me. Maybe someone can enlighten me?NRA Life Member

Hey Dave good to see your back. My take on it, people like you and me never would. But moderates and independents that were sick and tired of the Biden/Harris agenda knew what they were gonna get with Trump and even though personally they may not like him, they like his policies. With Kari they just don’t like her and she has no record of achievement as a politician to fall back on. Trump is arrogant and bombastic but has charisma, Kari just comes of as arrogant and mean to a lot of people. Her campaign didn’t do a very good job getting her message out and she bombed in the debate. To say I was disappointed in her performance start to finish in this campaign is an understatement, she pissed me off.Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.Comment

Everyone knows that undecideds and independents often decides who wins elections. Who hasn't heard of Donald Trump? Probably only people in the grave.I am wondering however on one thing, maybe someone can explain it to me. How about Gallego? He's been in Congress for how long, maybe 10 years? Plus, his ad budget was just short of a bazillion dollars.
How about Kari Lake? What most people in AZ know about her is she lost an election for governor, and ever since then, the only time she was ever mentioned in a story, it was accompanied by "falsely claimed election cheating" or "election denier". She started out in the hole due to 2 years of negative press. Then The Turtle screwed her over by sending a big pile of money to someone back east that had no chance to win, and zero to Kari. With no help from the RNC, it was going to be a tough road. For people outside of the state that don't know, a lot of AZ Repub leadership still hate Kari for knocking their McStain clan governor candidate out of the primary. The actual state chair tried to help Kari as much as she could, but I don't think she controlled any money.
Then you have to look at opponents. Gallego is way left of center and kind of a scumbag, but compared to Kameltoe, he's freakin Abe Lincoln. Even commie-filled Pima County would rather vote Trump than Kameltoe. She can't even carry on an adult conversation. It's not the same comparison with Kari and Gallego, he's been in Congress for a long time. He's not necessarily an incompetent boob, just a flaming leftist. He'd have to be really horrible for a Pima County voter to go against him, like as bad as Kameltoe, which he's not.Comment

I don't think that is it. I think they learned how to cheat from California and just like NV, AZ is not willing to fix the cheatingI feel that too many D's have moved into AZ and they are still voting based on their old habit. I first started going to Maricopa County in 2003. Looked for a place to eventually move to when I retire. Gilbert was a hot area at the time-which I first heard about from people here in Ca who planned/was moving to. Gilbert/Chandler is a mini silicon valley now with liberal techies. I ended up getting a place in the west valley, close to were Audiophil's house was. Been back countless times over the years. About 2015 I sensed a change among people, they were no longer talking like Republicans- these were Dem's. I noticed the biggest change from Nextdoor, all of a sudden liberals dominated that space. My source of finding landscapers and such came from ND as I am still in CA. When I go there now it is really disappointing to talk with all these new people as most of them who I talk to came from CA, and the old timers that I first met have moved to Idaho and other places.Comment

You can't beat Idaho, if you're a gun person. No restrictions on NFA items, permitless concealed carry, open carry is protected by Idaho's constitution and red flag laws and firearm registration are prohibited by the Idaho's constitution.

If I'd be in my 30's, it would be different. At this point for me and looking forward, I do not want to deal with snow and ice. I had recently considered N. Carolina as a place to consider, maybe after the storm aftermath that has hit them, it might be a good time to check the area out.Comment

Yes, Idahoans have to deal with snow and ice. But snow and ice have their benefits. In winter, operating my snow blower provides me with exercise my doctor says I need. It also means that we don't have a homeless population.
