Suppressor Mounts

What is the preferred method of mounting a suppressor on an AR type 5.56 rifle? Is a muzzle brake better than a flash hider to mount too? Right now, I am using a Rugged M2 brake on a 16" and 10.5" barreled gun with my Rugged Radiant suppressor. They work fine, but I need 2 more for an 11.5" and 12" barrel and was thinking of trying their R3 Flash Mitigation System flash hider. I have read about flash hiders eating up the insides of the suppressor and don't need those problems.
