I'm a bit confused by this statement. Do you have an Idaho enhanced CCW? If so, why would you need a Utah one? Isn't Utah a reciprocity state?

Yes, I have an enhanced Idaho permit. Not only does Utah have reciprocity, but it is a permitless carry state. I also have Washington. The reason is federal law. You cannot lawfully carry in a federal school zone without a permit from the state where the school zone is located, and school zones are everywhere. I originally got my Utah permit because it gave me Washington and several other states. When I was visiting Idaho to get my enhanced permit, I flew to Spokane, where my brother picked me up. I decided while there, I should get my Washington permit as well. Washington is an application, $50 and a set of prints. Does not get any easier than that. Utah requires that you have a permit from your state of residence to get a non-resident permit, so I had to attach a copy of my Idaho permit to my renewal application, which is online. I would get a non-resident Montana permit if one was offered.
