I had not been on here since leaving Ca. Made our way out to AZ March 2020 right about the time Gruesome started with his COVID nonsense. Man, I worked hard in Ca. to stay in the fight against the anti gunners and it looks to have gotten even worse. I am an OC Native and miss the ocean being a life long surfer, but I just couldn't look myself in the mirror any longer as I felt like a subjugated serf living there under that governor. We get back about every 6-8 weeks for 3 or 4 days and its sad that we always are happy to leave. The California I grew up in is completely gone. I understand those that stay because of all the commitments, family and such. Unfortunately I just dont see a path to voting Ca. back to sanity. Had many good years out at Pala Range but cant train properly in Ca. anymore. If you want to come out for a training day or just to take the weight off, reach out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGg_i6jZvzg

It takes some time to decompress after fleeing California. Given time in a free State, you start to notice things; like seeing a car parked in the grocery store parking lot with its windows down and keys in the ignition. It's shocking at first but then you see what's possible when leftists aren't in charge.
I remember my first trip back to the old neighborhood after a couple months of freedom in my new State. I could see with new clarity, the deterioration and decay that drove me to get out. Like you, each time I return home from a trip to California, the moment I drive across the border, its like a weight has lifted from my shoulders and I can relax again. -
The wife and one daughter went back to see her Kaiser Doctor. The wife denied any changes but eventually the daughter and the other girls admitted the truth....gangs growing and traffic in the East Bay cities. One hour to places that were 20 to 30 min and worse even where crossing bay area bridges. PG & E is outa control and rates frequently climbing, as well auto registration renewals etc etc. Gas in Tennessee, Sevierville $ 2.50 to 2.70 for gas, NOT the rates in Cali. I don't need to go on about it.
