    Dreaming...Multi-Cal Sups.....

    Howdy all!!

Gonna talk to my old Navy buddy Joe at work, who has a ton of suppressors (Re-located from CA 15 yrs ago, so he has the jump on me)...

But wanted to pick your brains a bit as well...

I bought a couple of guns this year..

    Sig P365
    Hellcat
    Black aces FD-12
    PSA 10.5 pistol
    Century AP5-M
    Couple of other..

Not worried about putting cans on pistols, yet....

This year, going to get a can. or a couple. or, preferably, a multi-cal can for .223 up to .416 Barrett (LOL). Right?? Like a non dedicated can could handle .416...

But been looking at the SilencerCo Lightweight Hybrid 46M Suppressor

So, to recap, a nice can from .223 up to .308 ish

anyone run these? Sorry, new to the can game..

"When the system breaks down, you get to vote from the rooftops. Its one of the last best traditions of western enlightenment"

"This was an IQ test/science experiment of Josef Mengele proportions, and the public willingly lapped it up. And many failed". (me, on Wuhan flu, 2022)

    Question EVERYTHING.

"Sure buddy. Whatever you say. Whatever you gotta tell yourself to sleep at night"

I have a Hybrid 46, but the older non-modular version. I don't like modular cans anyway, they leak gas at the joints. Haven't shot it on anything yet.

The first can I got was a .45 can figuring I could use it on my friend's subgun or 9mm pistols. It works fine on 9mm, but it's longer and heavier than a 9mm can. And that's what ends up happening - A multiple caliber can is a compromise and I ended wanting optimum rather than versatile. You can use a .308 can on a .223, but it'll be heavier and longer than a .223 can.

If you end up wanting a multi-cal one anyway, the classic is the SilencerCo Omega 9k. YHM has their R9 which is a budget version. Welded baffles, can use it on .223 on 16" barrels, .300 Blackout, 9mm obviously. It's fairly big, so a little ungainly on pistols but still usable with red dot or suppressor height sights. It's more intended for MP5/PCC's. Short barrel preferred, my subsonic 147's went super out of my 16" PCC.
