    Another Idaho RINO?

I think I've previously mentioned that in my opinion both of our federal senators are RINOs. One reason is they voted for the infrastructure bill. Risch has supported Ukraine and Crapo has not (I've seen this game before where one votes for something and the other does not, or they both don't vote for it because they know it has enough votes to pass). Seems like they're part of the establishment.

And a little quote from Risch: "I will continue to do everything in my power to ensure the Biden Administration uses the authorities Congress has given to provide President Zelenskyy and Ukrainian defense forces exactly what they need to end this conflict. Ukraine must win this fight.?

Now we have U.S. Rep. Mike Simpson, who is in favor of tearing down dams in Washington State (which would affect Idaho). Why, for salmon. Sound familiar? I'm sure "clean energy" will replace all that hydro power. It was good enough to make LA Times.

Any up for re election in 2024?

How does the majority up there feel about them?

Romney isn't running for re election here in 2024 because he knows he would loose by a landslide.

The senators aren?t Romney, but how people feel I don?t know. These guys say all the right things for the population.

Idaho has two senators and two congressmen. If you?re referring to locally elected (or state house), maybe. It all depends.

My theory is they take out the logical perfectly fine existing green hydro power at Govt (our) expense. Then we have to replace that elec with Wind and Solar, new businesses (businesses that surpisisngly Politicians are invested in) getting leases and subsides (us again) of course to make money and when that doesn't meet our needs then prices go up and we get screwed again. California is taking out several Northern dams as well, same reasons. I love how the article puts such emphasis that each Tribe member is down to 1/2 pound of Salmon a year, like must be caused by the dams right, certainly not the junk food bazaars called supermarkets.

              Whoops!

IIRC I read an article about Simpson pushing the dam removal project that included dams in ID. Project cost was $32B, hydropower production would be replaced with more efficient, cleaner and cheaper alternative power. Simpson could not state this new magical power production method.

He did state there is no guarantee nor likelihood the salmon runs would return, but we have to try.

It is hardly too strong to say that the Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions. There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters." -Daniel Webster

Yet the same people that elect these RINO'S will continue to do so because the alternative is to have politicians with backbone and $#!+ talking ability when they see something that needs to be called out. Trump started the trend, and it's now a movement as more regular citizens are waking up to the rot at all levels. Idaho's state and many local governments and districts are playing the same bullschiff game as the big fish. It's all about maintaining the status quo of tax dollar flow and favoritism/graft in government funded projects. Many conservative voters are too weak and non-confrontational when it comes to making their voices heard, and it's reflected in their representatives.

How many people would actually vote for or elect a candidate that eliminates social security or Medicare? That?s for starters?
