An expats marketplace?

With so many Calgun members that are expats now, would a marketplace type of thread in the expats section be acceptable/allowed?

Would there be any interest in this type of thread to post firearms for sale in their locality and accessories that aren't legal in CA like standard cap mags.

I am in no way a professional forum guy and dont know what this would entail, but my initial thoughts were just a continuous thread where people can post what they would like to sell. A member that's interested could PM the seller, and the seller could edit the post to be marked as sold once complete. No bumps or TTT's. This would avoid the multiple postings and bumps that the normal marketplace thread experiences to avoid congestion of the sub-forum.

Please excuse me if this idea has been brought up before and shot down for good reason. It's just a thought that came to mind that I think it would be beneficial to others as another avenue of marketing items they would like to sell.

Not a bad idea. Expats marketplace would, hopefully, keep people from commenting that such and such are illegal to sell, etc. The Contributors Forum also has a marketplace.

But we also should have it moderated so that CA legal stuff are moved to the regular CG Marketplace.

Good condition. 2 mags
Location: Boise, ID

Something as simple as that just to get a word out. If someone is interested, they can PM the seller and send pictures if necessary through PM or other means of communication.

By the way I do not have a glock for sale at the moment lol

Sorry Sig, no Safeways in Boise or most of Idaho. There's only 5 Safeways in northern Idaho. We do have lots of Albertsons, the parent company of Safeway.

FYI, half of my purchases were done in an Albertsons parking lot and other half in a Win Co parking lot.

It could/will cause a lot of drama with non expats that find their way into the expats forum though. There's a fair amount of hate for this subforum already.

Some of that drama is jealousy, but some of it is just FUDDs showing how much they know about CA laws not realizing the thread is an Expatriate thread. Many Calgunners just scan the "New Posts" and jump in the thread not realizing we are not in Kansifornia anymore.
